Hearing Loss Experience Inspires Her to Make a Difference in the Lives of Others
Elise Ansberg, a senior at Ottawa Hills High School, has been awarded the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy award for her work with HearAide, an organization that provides hearing healthcare to underserved communities worldwide. Ansberg, who was born with bilateral hearing loss, raised over $45,000 for HearAide and traveled to Jordan in March 2022 to set up two clinics in refugee camps, where she was able to help others with hearing loss like herself.
