This January, we’ll be diving into Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper, an inspiring and thought-provoking novel about resilience, courage, and finding one’s voice. The story follows Melody, an 11-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, who is finally able to share her thoughts through the power of an assisted communication device. Her journey is a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of inclusion, empathy, and understanding. Join us as we explore Melody’s world, discuss the challenges she faces, and celebrate her triumphs. This book is sure to spark meaningful conversations about ability, perseverance, and the ways we can create more inclusive spaces for everyone.
