The Ability Center’s DREAM Program is excited to partner with author Katie Maskey and the Toledo Zoo to provide an inclusive story time opportunity. Katie Maskey is the author of the Ferdinand book series and is an advocate for people with invisible disabilities. She will be reading Ferdinand with the Extra Toes which is inspired by her own polydactyl cat- Ferdinand!
This story time will take place in the sensory-friendly Mazza Museum Gallery of the ProMedica Museum of Natural History at the Toledo Zoo (near the Broadway entrance.) Katie will read and chat about her life with the real Ferdinand. We will also have crafts and activities!
We look forward to seeing you at this inclusive story time!
Please arrive at the Broadway gate of the Toledo Zoo by 9:45am. Entrance to the story time is free for people who register in advance. However, if you would like to explore the zoo afterwards you will need to have a membership or purchase tickets at the gate.
