On March 23, 2023 Renee Wood and Brittanie Maddox testified at the Ohio Statehouse in front of the House Finance Subcommittee on Ohio’s Operating Budget Bill, HB33, to advocate for wage parity and increased wages for Direct Care Workers. They were joined by other advocates requesting Ohio ensure all care workers receive a livable wage so that people with disabilities could remain in their homes and communities.
